2. Selected Data Protection Methods Used by the Operator

Login areas and personal data entry points are protected in the transmission layer (SSL certificate). As a result, personal data and login details entered on the website are encrypted on the user's computer and can be read only on the target server.
User passwords are stored in hashed form. The hashing function works one-way – it is impossible to reverse its operation, which is currently the modern standard for storing user passwords.
Two-factor authentication is used in the service, which constitutes an additional form of protection for logging into the Website.

In relation to you, actions involving automated decision-making may be taken, including profiling for the purpose of providing services under the concluded contract and for the purpose of conducting direct marketing by the Controller.

Scope of Processing:

The MOTO SOS application accesses data about the approximate or precise location of the user via technologies such as GPS, Wi-Fi, mobile network signals, or Bluetooth. This data is used solely for the purpose of:

  • enabling location features (e.g., displaying maps, searching for nearest points, adapting content to the user's location),
  • improving the quality of services provided,
  • statistical analysis to improve the application.
